Our Story

Every candle we make began as a promise to myself: that I could build something real, with my own two hands, out of nothing but an idea.

Shama_e_Lutf started in September 2023, but the story behind it started earlier, in a season of my life that wasn't easy. I had reached a point where working for someone else's dream no longer felt like enough. I wanted to create. I wanted to experiment. I wanted to build something that was entirely, unmistakably mine.

At the time, decorative candles were still a fairly new idea in Pakistan. Most candles were made to be burned and forgotten. I wanted to make candles people would fall in love with before they ever lit the wick, pieces beautiful enough to belong in your home as décor, memory, and mood, all at once.

That single idea became the heart of Shama_e_Lutf.

I taught myself to work with shapes, colours, textures, and fragrances, turning ordinary wax into something that felt a little more special, a little more alive. Every piece was made by hand, because every piece carried a part of me.

Then, in Ramadan 2025, everything I had built almost disappeared overnight.

My social media page was hacked and deleted. Gone with it were years of work: my content, my customers, my community, the memories and the audience I had built from absolute zero. If you've ever built something online, you know that losing your page can feel like losing the business itself. For a moment, I truly was back where I started.

But there was one thing the hacker could never take. The vision. The reason I started in the first place.

So I began again.

Piece by piece, I rebuilt Shama_e_Lutf. I reconnected with old customers, made new pieces, relearned old lessons, and slowly found my way back to where I once stood, and further still.

Today, Shama_e_Lutf is more than candles. It's proof that handmade creativity and thoughtful design can survive almost anything, and that beautiful things are often born from starting with very little, more than once.

If there's one thing this journey has taught me, it's this: you can lose the platform, the numbers, even the progress. But if your vision survives, you can always build again.

This is Shama_e_Lutf. Handmade with intention. Created with love. Built again, from the very beginning. ✨
